Healing Our Past and Present Pain

Towards a More Compassionate and Connected Future

At the Natural Lifemanship Institute, we believe that meaningful work on the subject of racism and antiracism begins with connection. It begins with the desire to deeply listen to our own bodies and simultaneously to the embodied experiences of others. This requires our full engagement, commitment, and practice. To support our community in this work, we are pleased to offer this compilation of over 9 hours of material dedicated to healing our personal and collective racialized trauma.

What this Compilation Includes

  • Embodied Conversations about Racism and Antiracism

A 3-part "embodied conversation" between trauma expert and best-selling author, Bonnie Badenoch, and grassroots leader and community advocate, Vanessa Timmons.

  • Compassionate Conversations about Race and Antiracism

Through dialogue, stories and reflections, Bonnie and Vanessa explore our individual and collective wounds around race and how we might begin to heal them.

  • Navigating Implicit Bias, White Spaces, and the Somatics of Racialized Trauma

Panelists, Veronica Lac, Elizabeth McCorvey, and Sarah Schlote engage in a dynamic conversation inviting viewers to think critically about how each is situated in a cultural context and what we are willing to do to create a safer, braver, and more inclusive environment for all.
