Getting Started with NL Learning Path
This learning path is a series of courses that cover the basics of Natural Lifemanship. Topics include trauma-informed care, regulation, the process of healing, and how horses participate in that process. CE credits (a total of 9) are given upon completion of each course in the learning path as specified below.

Introduction to Natural Lifemanship
Learn the history and big ideas of Natural Lifemanship, how Natural Lifemanship principles are applied in relationships with horses, and how the NL principles facilitate connection and healing. (1 CE Credit)

Bottom Up Regulation: A Story
Bettina shares a concrete example of using bottom up regulation with her son, Cooper. This is part of a longer lesson that goes into more depth in the Fundamentals of NL training.

Relationships are the Vehicle for Change
This presentation explores the role of relationships in healing and change. You will learn about secure attachment and the concepts of regulation and co-regulation. (1 CE Credit)

Thin Places and Relationships in a Thick World: Cultivating Places and Relationships that Transcend
'Thin places' are places or moments where we sense the sacred in an otherwise ordinary encounter. Tim and Bettina explore how we might nurture and avail ourselves to such moments that bring deep transformation and healing. (1 CE Credit)

My Relationship to Pressure: Exploring a key principle to better understand the Natural Lifemanship process
This workshop is an experiential exploration of pressure and how each of us relates to it. Through the exploration, you are invited to become aware of how you relate to pressure. (1 CE Credit)

It may seem like a simple question, but it is has significant implications for the work we do, including its process, its outcomes, and its ethics. Tim and Bettina break it down and explain how NL answers this question, and why. (1 CE Credit)

When Two Cultures Collide: Exploring Concepts, Principles, and Definitions within the Horse and Therapy World
Tim and Bettina discuss belief systems and principles that have historically prevailed in the horse world creating cultures that may collide or that may coalesce to bring about health and healing for horse and human, alike. (1 CE Credit)

Animal Welfare Issues are also Clinical Issues
Tim Jobe and Bettina Shultz-Jobe discuss how to recognize animal welfare issues, including those that lead to behavior issues and burnout. They share how a lack of awareness in this area can impact our clients. (1 CE Credit)
